My Messy House

A couple of days ago, my catechist sister came to my house when I was teaching at school. She told me what she thought of it when I returned home. Below is her nagging:

" When I stepped into your house, I could feel the dustiness of the floor under my feet. I believe the floor had neither been swept nor mopped for a long time. Not only that, a lot of lizard droppings could be found on the window ledges in the sitting room and the kitchen. I even saw some on the water dispenser. Besides, the window panes were so dirty that I could easily leave my fingerprints on them. What have you been doing all these while? The house is yours and you should keep it clean all the time.

Now, let's talk about your kitchen. you should keep all the plates and bowls in the kitchen cabinet instead of leaving them in the dish rack. The stove has to be wiped after cooking.

Your bedroom was in a state of disorder. Your books and stationery were strewn at random on the floor. You did not fold your blanket but left it lie in a crumpled mess near the bed. One more thing, remember to coil up the cord of your multi-plug extension lead after using it. I almost tripped over it. Sigh, Tai-Tai, What is the use of your newly-bought bookshelves? Is it difficult to make bed? Sleeping in a tidy, organized room is good for the body and the mind.

Your shower-room was also in a sorry state. There was soap residue on the floor tiles. Do you know how dangerous it is? It makes the floor slippery. I found some loose hair accumulated on the shower drain cover too. You must remove it every time after you have taken a shower. If not, the shower drain will be clogged.

Despite my flu, I did all the cleaning for you. Can't you feel how clean and smooth the floor is? Your dishes are all stored in the kitchen cabinet now. I even took the trouble to wipe off the dust on your bookshelves and arrange your novels on them.Don't be that sloppy again."

Haha! I bet you want to tell her to shut up, but you also want to thank her. Bachelor, are you?
