Love from a Student's Point Of View
The word ‘love’ has many meanings. People tend to liken it to the wishy-washiness of romance soaps and movies, which are full of betrayals and breakups. Love actually represents a pure, affectionate feeling one has towards a person with whom he or she is comfortable. It is sacred and should exist without the stain of domination, jealousy and spitefulness.
To love others, you need to love God first. God is always there for you, forgiving all your sins and listening to all your thoughts. He created the wonderful Earth for you to live on and enables you to enjoy all its riches. When you pray, submit your whole-self to God and let Him be the master of your mind and actions. You will feel relieved and at peace in His love.
Next, you must love your family. Shower your parents with filial love. Respect them, listen to their advice and take care of them when they are old. Without them, you would not have been who you are today. Your father is the bread-winner of your family, working diligently around the clock to ensure that there is ample food on the family’s table every day. Your mother nurtured you in her womb nine months before giving birth to you. They are willing to sacrifice themselves to give you comfort and stability in life. You should love your siblings too. Always help each other the best way you can to maintain the harmony of your family.
What is life without friends? You may find it empty and lonesome. Honest friends always tell you the truth even when it hurts. You should appreciate their friendship because they desire the best for you. Not all your friends are good. Some of them may stab you in the back and betray you for their own good. You should keep these kinds of friends at an arm’s length. A good relationship with friends makes you feel confident and secure. Friends will never be hesitant to offer you a helping hand and a shoulder to cry on if you are truthful to them.
Don’t hate your enemies. Love them with an open heart. Like us, they are special in their own right. Tolerate them and avoid practising the concept of ‘an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth’ because it aggravates relationships. Forgive them with the love of God and they will be touched by you one day.
Many students hate their teachers and this is wrong. Love your teachers as they are your second parents. They teach you, guide you and help you through thick and thin at school. They never scold you with malicious intent. They want you to be a better persons who leads a life based on the love.
I believe that almost everyone has a pet. No matter what kind of pet it is, it deserves the right to be loved by its owner. Sadly, many pets have been abandoned, left to become stray dogs and cats that fall easy prey to starvation, diseases and road accidents. To prevent this from happening, pet owners should be responsible for the well-being of their pets. Treat your pet with love and care like you would your own child. You will get countless blessings for you kind gesture.
Last but not least, you should love your future spouse. He or she is your soul mate who will share the ups and downs of your conjugal life. Marriage is a holy order because it binds one heart to another. It should not be treated like a game. Love each other with all your heart and your life will be eternally blissful.
In conclusion, love is a power that never fails. There is no limit to love. It prevails against all odds and fills your heart with spiritual blessings.
